Breakfast in Pavillon Winter Luxor

Property building in Pavillon Winter Luxor
The Pavilion Winter is surrounded by beautiful gardens. The hotel is clean, comfortable and well-positioned. Our room was tastefully decorated, clean and spacious with a good-sized bathroom complete with bathrobes, slippers and lovely toiletries. During our stay there were 3 dining options on site but you need to be smartly dressed for 2 of them, so we opted for the "casual" BBQ which is served near the swimming pool. There is a buffet offering a variety of vegetables and starters, which changes daily. The meat is brought to the table on a small charcoal grill and is excellent. Various wines are served. Local wines go for around 900 EGP a bottle and were good. The service was excellent and the waiters are very friendly and attentive. It was my birthday and they brought a cake and flowers to the table and I was seranaded by all the waiters. Really special! The breakfast is also a buffet and there is a really good range of products plus tea, coffee, fruit juice etc. Room service is available 24hr. The swimming pool is stunning (and heated) and you can order food and drinks from the bar there until around 5pm. The staff were friendly and attentive. We had a wonderful time and would definitely stay there again. There are security guards outside the hotel complex and the only negative aspect is that the minute you go out of the hotel you are hassled by touts (not the hotel's fault obviously!). We walked a little way down the road and got a taxi for 150Egp to Karnak. The local going rate for a taxi is 100-150EGP for a single journey but you need to establish the price before you get in the taxi. The touts outside the hotel ask for 400.

Loved having access to all the Winter Palace facilities - the garden, pool area and main lobby are amazing. My room at the Pavillion was spacious, clean and with a lovely balcony overlooking the garden. It was right above the breakfast area but since I was in the Valley of the Kings from 6:00 till 10:00 any noise didn’t bother me. Reception staff was quick, efficient and polite. Breakfast was ok - not 5 star obviously but you can find some good options. Staff was very nice and let me squeeze in minutes before closing. Overall, if you’re only there for one night, it’s a great option! If you’re there longer and want to spend more time enjoying the full hotel experience maybe consider the main Palace.

Great facility. I've stayed at the Winter Palace before & was expecting that this would be a much less impressive facility. In some ways it was, nothing is quite like the Winter Palace but in other ways it was just as wonderful. The breakfast was wonderful & the staff there were so professional & attentive. Mohamed remembered what we liked each day & made sure it came to us quickly. Your front desk people were also great. We checked in for a few nights, left to stay overnight in Abu Simbel then came back for 2 more nights. They remembered everything. Love the grounds and the flamingoes! Spotlessly kept. I'll be back.

This is a superb hotel that pretty much matches any five-star hotel I've ever stayed in, but at a far more affordable price! The staff were lovely and were able to facilitate a connecting room for us, which may seem small but made our evening! The swimming pool is perfect for hot days and there are lots of chairs set out which they provide towels to cover. The room service is of a good quality and very reasonably priced. They provide the usual slippers and dressing gown which are always a nice touch, and the room cleaning team left flowers and little towel statues for my sister which thrilled her!

Comfy hotel surrounded by lush greenery right in the heart of Luxor city. The gardens were absolutely beautiful, although it was a little sad to see the flamingoes being cooped up in the evening in a shabby little cage. Breakfast was outstanding, probably the best we had our entire time in Egypt. Our room was spacious and felt like a slice of heaven after a long day of walking. Location was perfect, right next to the city and within walking distance to restaurants and the souk. The hotel staff were very kind in allowing us to leave our luggage at the reception desk after check-out.
